1999 Corvette FRC
January 25, 2012 - 1999 Corvette Fixed Roof Coupe 12x24 wide version 1
Been so busy lately no time to post in the daily's .. Some of my time's been consumed with editing a large number of images we got on another Corvette Portrait shoot back on January 15. A good friend of mine owns this '99 Fixed Roof Coupe.. A real beauty. Customized inside-out and under the hood, this car is a repeated show winner. Originally conceived as an entry level Corvette by GM during the early stages of the C5 era ('97-04) the Fixed Roof Coupe was built with a non-removable hard-top, a small, non-hatch back rear window, and fewer interior options. The design became the platform for the high-performance Z06 model that would be reintroduced (last seen in 1963) in 2001. With an ultra strong hydro-formed frame and a fixed roof the design lends itself to creating a very light, ultra stiff racing platform. When combined with performance suspension components, tight gearing and a tweaked 347 CI LS1 engine - this car is still a competitor..
...and a pretty cool shoot as well.
Thanks Mike for allowing me the opportunity to build my portfolio!
