HBContri Date: May 16, 2011 - Handheld at 1/13th second, I propped the long lens on the hand rail of the boardwalk to shoot this tiny spider & her web. A ray of sunshine touched her work as it poured through a break in the thick forest canopy above. This is the flora and fauna of Corkscrew Swamp... An Audubon Society preserve on the edge of the Everglades east of Naples Florida. Red and I visited here last weekend and made the 2.25 mile boardwalk stroll through six distinct natural habitats. From thick cypress head swamp to open grassy savannah's - this place is a wonderful step back into primal Florida. We'll share some images as dailys for the next days.
